The Lagos State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has announced the release of the admission Merit List for Model Colleges and Upgraded Secondary Schools in the state.
Thousands of candidates who are exiting primary school sat for the screening test in May into Junior Secondary School I in Model and Upgraded Secondary Schools.
In a statement signed by Mrs. Abisola Dokunmu-Adegbite, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, candidates that sat for the test are enjoined to check for their names on the Lagos State Examinations Board portal from Tuesday, 22nd July 2026, to know their admission status.
“The Ministry hereby informs the general public, and especially candidates who sat for the Screening Test into Lagos State Model Colleges and Upgraded Secondary Schools in May 2026, that the admission status for the Merit List has been released.
“Successful candidates are advised to visit the Lagos State Examinations Board portal from Tuesday, 22nd July 2026, to check their admission status.
“Successful candidates whose names appeared on the portal are further directed to collect their admission letters and complete registration in their respective school of choice.”
“Successful candidates should then proceed to their respective schools from Monday, 31st August 2026, to collect their admission letters and complete the registration process.”
“The Ministry congratulates all successful candidates and wishes them a rewarding and successful academic journey” the statement said.
